Bilene lagoon Complexo Palmeiras

The 27 km long Bilene lagoon with its beautiful beach front is the ideal spot for family holidays, where you can participate in various water sports at Palmeiras Complexo.
The mouth of the lagoon, usually blocked by a massive sandbank, is best reached by boat, although a long difficult 4x4 track does allow you access to the beach and the open sea.
A qualified dive instructor with a fully equipped boat is available for those who want to explore the magnificent reefs in the area either diving or snorkeling.
Deep-sea fishing in the area is also very popular and boats can be chartered at the resort.
Bilene is an excellent destination for all waters port enthusiasts especially those who want to ski, sailor just enjoy the beauty of the lagoon on a barge trip.

Complexo Palmeiras is ideally situated along a saltwater lagoon with white sandy beaches and calm waters in the village of Bilene, formally know as San Martino, about 180 km north of Maputo.
The esplanade overlooking the calm waters of the lagoon is a very popular spot to enjoy a drink or a meal observing all the various watersport activities.
The Coconut Bar offers a wide variety of drinks where you can challenge someone to a game of pool or watch TV via satellite.
Accommodation is available in chalets, situated amongst shady trees overlooking the lagoon.
The chalets consist of 2 bedrooms and a bathroom and can accommodate 4 people.
The chalets are not self-catering but braai facilities are available. Guests must provide their own cooking utensils, stove and braai equipment.
A room with plug points is provided for visitors who' bring their own freezers.
Campsites are available under shady trees with easy access to the beach.
Ablution facilities with hot and cold water and flush toilets are provided.
