Africa Adventures - Experience the amazing wildernes of Africa

Tourists Sarah Brooks and Jans de Klerk, who refused to be interviewed at the time, had to be admitted to hospital after the elephant overturned their vehicle a few times, eventually pushing it off the road.
A eyewitness explained that they had been following the elephant, driving behind the blue VW used by Brooks and De Klerk. It soon became clear that the elephant was getting agitated and they decided to fall back and keep at a safe distance. Warning signs given by elephants include flapping of the ears or a mock charge where the ears are fully spread with its head down.  In the video the elephant can be seen and heard doing both but at no point does the blue VW attempt to back away slowly. Instead it can be seen driving on and getting even closer to the elephant.
From the footage it appears they may have been trying to pass the elephant instead.
In a controversial move, the KNP management shot and killed the elephant to prevent it from hurting other people. The decision sparked an outcry on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
At the time KNP spokesperson William Mabasa said people should not be quick to criticize the decision.  “Our rangers reported that the same elephant bull had been involved in previous fights with other dominant bulls since it has been in musth phase."
But the video shows the final incident that caused the animal to be put down could possibly have been avoided.

LION ATTACKS

Man charges Lion Pride to save himself.
I decided to charge the Pride of Lion before they could attack me.
This is a true story. Video evidence will prove.
While on Safari at a Game Park in Africa, I had the following hair-raising and chilling experience.
One day I decided to leave my vehicle at the roadside, and walk down some 150 meters to a waterhole, trying to get a better camera shot of game drinking.
I was on my own, and only armed with my video camera. In my wildest dreams I never expected that I could come face to face with a pride of lion and possible death.

MEET THE ZONKEY

A zebroid (also zedonk, zorse, zebra mule, zonkey, and zebrule) is the offspring of any cross between a zebra and any other equine: essentially, a zebra hybrid.

At the beginning of the 20th century, there were 500,000 rhinos across Africa and Asia. This fell to 70,000 by 1970 and further to just 29,000 in the wild today.
During the last century, the black rhino has suffered the most drastic decline in total numbers, of all rhino species.
Between 1970 and 1992, the population of this species decreased by 96%.
In 1970, it was estimated that there were approximately 65,000 black rhinos in Africa – but, by 1993, there were only 2,300 surviving in the wild.
Intensive anti-poaching efforts have had encouraging results since 1996. Numbers have been recovering and still are increasing very slowly.
During 2013 -  1 004 Rhinos were wiped out by poachers to feed the high demand for rhino horn in the East, particularly in Vietnam, where wealthy businessmen buy it to flaunt as a status symbol.
Last year the WWF released a profile of the typical person driving the rhino slaughter:  A 48-year-old businessman in Vietnam, married with grown-up children, who wants to be seen as a leader and believes using rhino horn is a badge of wealth and power
While the authorities have stepped up the fight against poaching on the ground, especially in Kruger with its unprotected international border, critics say more needs to be done to break organized crime syndicates which are controlling the poaching
